My projects

At this page you will find some of my realized projects. If you click on a photo more photos of that project will appear.

For different projects I also let produce product designs from my drawing table. You will find them among the projects but if you click HERE you’ll find a few.

Skybox in stadium of FC Groningen

« 1 of 4 »

I proudly present the interior design I made for the sky box Boeren-Box. This is a network club with entrepreneurs who serve the agricultural sector combining watching soccer matches and meeting other agricultural oriented entrepreneurs. I designed a warm welcoming room whit the atmosphere of modern agricultural entrepreneurship. The ceiling is optical lowered with a beam structure which refers to the beams in barns. Enlarged agricultural pictures are positioned on walls and pillars and varied with brick wallpaper. For sittings I chose for leather look in different matching colors combined with wood structure materials for floor tables and beams. One can choose to sit on chairs, on stools, hanging at the bar or relaxing in the lounge corner. The sky box is not only used for meeting while watching matches but also to arrange readings and official meetings from the FC Goningen board.

A hallway restyled from classic to tropical: ’paradise’-panel, real large palm and two-color semi-transparant drapings which filter the light.

A real family home achieved

« 2 of 10 »

This house we changed into a warm welcome villa: well designed dormers with integrated roll-down shutters which really add something in space as well as in light in all 3 bedrooms at the back side. This made it also possible to realise two bathrooms; both with a shower and toilet and one with a bath as well. Further, we painted all walls in a warm white with some slight pastels on a wall in the living and dining room. The dining room is completed with shutters and a modern traditional style table and chairs.

Coloradvice in a new built villa

The question was: how can we give this large living a warm welcoming feelling.
Pura Vida composed a strong colorfull palet and integrated this in choices for (curtain) fabrics, wall papers, painting colors and materials through the whole villa.

Window covering advice

« 1 of 2 »

Clients asked for a window covering advice and wanted to realize an elegant and refined feeling.
Pura Vida chose semi-transparant light weight sheer curtains and folding curtains of the same fabric in the living.
In the bedrooms the pattern is repeated on curtain fabric for drapes and roman shades.

Coloradvice for an enlarged house

Man and wife didn’t match in taste to their opinion and therefore the walls had a ’save’ color. Pura Vida uncovered their different feelings for color and composed a moodboard which integrates both tastes: purple and Scottish Highlanders (her), orange, beach sand and rough material (him).

Bathroom for guests in a monumental house

« 2 of 3 »

For guests a welcoming bathroom was wished with a calm feeling for relaxation time in a walk-in shower and free-standing bath.
The calm feeling is realized by a large ’flaming’ tile in different sizes and installed on the floor as well on the walls in the shower and combined with mat painted walls. The towel radiator is integrated in the design by spray painting it in a color shade present in the tiles.

Bathroom in historical weavers house

« 1 of 3 »

In a historical little weavers house in Leiden Pura Vida was asked to enlarge the little shower to a small bathroom with a mix of modern and traditional Dutch touch. We moved a wall 50cm! What made a huge difference in this very small space. And made it possible to integrate a walk-in shower with ceiling shower, a toilet and a washstand. We lightened the ceiling and brought the main beam back to its blank roots. For the tiling we used mozaiek tile with the look of ’crashed’ Delft Blue in the shower behind the taps and in the built-in niche and combined it with metro tiles (tiles with a facet).

Veranda for a tennis club

This veranda is especially designed with the slope ’up hill’. This serves two goals: full sight to the tennis fields and the light in the cantina remains.

New kitchen, replaced from the front to the garden side

« 1 of 3 »

This kitchen rebuilding has two big advantages: from a 8m2 street oriented kitchen it became a 25m2 garden oriented one ! With an large island in the middle for kitchen working and breakfast/coffee corner as well. All in a modern country style. The delightful kitchen with filtered light coming in through the shutters.

Monumental family house in the city of The Hague

« 1 of 7 »

This monumental villa had to be modernized from top to toe. All the original parquet was well treated and sanded to its original light color and then lacquered against damaging and for easy maintenance. A new bedroom and walk-in closet as well as two new bathrooms are realized. And the whole house, inside as outside is painted. Pura Vida made a color schedule with the effect of a warm flow going throughout the villa. The kitchen was given a new look by changing the yellow into Hague Blue from Farrow & Ball paintings.

Group accommodation in the Noordoostpolder

These entrepreneurs transformed a traditional ’vibrated concrete’ barn into an accommodation for groups to stay.
Pura Vida designed the moodboards for 2 departments both exsisiting of a living/kitchen room and 12 bedrooms.
These moodboards were as passports for choosing colors, materials and atmosphere. PVI supported in choosing and realizing the right combinations and style
